Where do I start with this wedding? I have so much love for it that I’m almost lost for words!
It was an extra special one for me as Rache and I used to work together (back in the day when I was a lawyer!) – in fact, Liam, his Dad and one of his best men also worked for the same law firm!
When Liam popped the big question, Rache asked whether I wanted to photograph her wedding or be a guest. I think my response was that I couldn’t imagine watching anyone else shoot her wedding and would be honoured to do so!
The ceremony – Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación
Rache and Liam got engaged in Marbella and having spent so much time there together it was always going to be number one choice for their destination wedding!
The ceremony took place in the phenomenal Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación in heart of Marbella’s Old Town (with special permission granted via the Deacon of Liverpool) where Rache’s ridiculously talented sister, Laurie, sang from the balcony (she received a standing ovation from visitors to the Cathedral during the rehearsal!)
Rache smiled her way through the entire ceremony (she was still grinning from ear to ear when I left her on the dance floor at 4.30am the following morning!) and we celebrated with ALL the confetti and drinks on the square outside the Cathedral. Just perfect!
Reception – Finca Palma
With Rache and Liam speeding (not so much) ahead, we made our way up into the mountains to Finca Palma for the reception where Lisa (their fabulous wedding planner), had everything looking sublime. A stunning view, fabulous food and some hilarious speeches took place as the sun went down!
The after party!
Rache, Liam and their friends LOVE to party. I know from first hand experience that Rache is the worst for suddenly appearing from the bar with a tray full of tequilas (cheers Rache!) and boy did everyone party hard – shisha, cigars and lots and lots of jägerbombs! I left at 4.30am and the dance floor was still going strong! What a wedding!
Rache and Liam – thank you for everything and congratulations!!
